Let it be known, steel targets are a Bad Thing™

Tuesday, October 16th, 2007

If you’re having trouble viewing the above video, you can download a 2.2 megabyte Ogg Theora version of Steel Targets are a Bad Thing™. Here’s the description that was emailed to me along with the video:

This is incredible. It almost made the Darwin Awards. The guy is shooting an AR-50. Watch the dust when he fires. The target, a steel plate, was 100 yards away. You can hear the ping of the hit, then the bullet comes back and hits his earmuffs on his head. The footage is amazing. You can hear the bullet as it tumbles through the air on its course back toward the shooter. He’s lucky it hit the dirt first. He is okay, and obviously very lucky. The bullet grazed his temple. What a difference a half an inch makes!

And, if you’re anything like me, you’ll probably be looking for more info on the Armalite AR-50.

I know some of you have probably already seen this, but for those who haven’t, this is a great explanation of what it means to be free. It really helps to put into perspective the things that we as a society very often lose sight of. The animation is several minutes long and about 1 megabyte in size, so you may need to set aside some time if you intend to watch it. Click below to watch…

Pizza.

I’d like one medium pizza with every pork product you have back there and some anchovies. Why don’t pizza places deliver beer?
